Legal framework

Register of Excluded Persons (RVO)

Upon entry to the venue, the operator checks the Register of Excluded Persons maintained by the Slovak Gambling Regulatory Office. Persons listed in the register are denied entry pursuant to § 33 par. 3 and § 34 of Act No. 30/2019 Coll. (Slovak Republic).

Voluntary registration in the RVO — procedure

If you wish to protect yourself against problem gambling, you may voluntarily enrol in the Register of Excluded Persons. Once registered, you will be denied entry to all licensed gaming venues and online games in the Slovak Republic.

  1. Submit the registration application on the ÚRHH website (electronically) or in person at any ÚRHH office.
  2. Present a valid identification document.
  3. Choose the duration of registration — minimum 6 months, maximum 3 years, or for life.
  4. Once registered, entry to gaming venues and online games is immediately prohibited.
  5. Voluntary registration is free of charge.

Identification on winnings (AML)

Pursuant to Act No. 297/2008 Coll. on the protection against the legalisation of proceeds from criminal activity (Slovak Republic), a player is required to verify their identity with a valid identification document on any winnings exceeding 2,000 €. Without identification, the winnings cannot be paid out.
